OST and the University of Newcastle, Australia (UoN) has cooperated deeply in terms of talents training.We largely promote international speech therapist (elementary level)curriculum, and cultivate the first group of internationalstandardized speech therapists. OST is the designated clinical internship baseof UoN, it is also the exclusively cooperation institution of this curriculumin China.

STA, Speech Therapy Assistant (elementary level),is the practice-oriented course, incorporating over 10 years clinicalexperience of OST together with the devotion of the University of Newcastle,Australia (UON).

STA includes altogether 13 modules. Module1 toModule 10 are delivered mainly through online learning, combined with some parts of offline learning. Module 12 andModule 13 are done through offline training, and clinical internship.

Through the application of online activities,Q&A sessions, students maintain and expand the knowledge content of eachmodule. That theoretical study online, study offline, as well as livediscussion and practice can work together for a better result of study.

Upon completion of the assigned online sessions, meeting accumulated days of clinical practice andpassing the exam, the student is able to obtain the Speech Therapy Assistant（STA）Program TrainingCertificate. 20 credits can be deducted for the certificate holder whenobtaining the Bachelor Degree (Honored) of Speech Pathology.
